In developing the concept for Le Bal (simply French for "The Ball") I sought to answer the question - "What is missing from New Zealand’s entertainment calendar? There are very few events where a couple, group of friends or discerning singles can get dressed up in their finest and enjoy an elegant night out in spectacular surrounds with only the best in entertainment to keep them entertained and enthralled throughout the night. The idea for Le Ball is taken from the so-called "party of the 20th Century" - the sumptuous 'Le Bal oriental' held by the flamboyant Carlos de Beistegui - an eccentric art collector and interior decorator - who threw an extravagant masked costume ball at the Palazzo Labia in Venice in 1951. It was the last truly spectacular event in the famous ballroom and the guest list comprised of the elite of European society including Christian Dior, Salvador Dali, Cecil Beaton and many more Counts and Countesses - Prince and Princesses - Barons - Ladies.

Le Ball will be recreating the essence of that event and I invite you to join the fun at New Zealand’s annual "party of the year". Each event there will be different theme to Le Ball, but the dress code will always be black tie for the men and ball gowns for the ladies unless you are dressing according to theme - I absolutely love seeing you all embrace the theme and having fun as that's what its all about! I also suggest wearing masks as this adds to your fun and the atmosphere for the event.

If you have any questions or want to enquire about getting involved in the event or bringing along a large group you can contact me - Michaiah on 0800 DELUXE (0800-335 893). Sponsorship options are available so if you are interested then please contact me.
